Challenge #180 and Well Inspired Stamp

Challenge #180

First of all... THANK YOU to all you wonderful people who leave such nice comments on my posts.  I absolutely love getting comments, reading them, and answering them.  With my lack of time lately I have not been able to answer as many as I'd like, but know that I really, really appreciate them.

This week's challenge (here) is to use the tangle MacDee by Anneke Van Dam.  I went with another little 2x2 inch tile again this week - I'm trying to get used to the new size :)

Well Inspired Stamp

I love the Well tangle, and a few months ago I carved two little stamps so I could play with the tangle in different ways.  You can see a couple of the prints in this post.  I still like these as I can do different things with them.

When I got home on Friday, I decided to create a bigger stamp with 2 squares to make the Well pattern.  I added a few other shapes to the stamp as well; I hope you enjoy it.

Created this card for a friend's birthday on Saturday.
Here I just outlined the bigger shapes painted with watercolors.

This one (SIL's birthday) was also painted with watercolors,
but I added a lot more detail with some tangles thrown in :)
After giving those 2 away right after I was done with them, I decided to make one for myself :)
Just a little test with the first print and Inktense

  1. Your stamp carving of Well is amazing. I really like the green, but then again they are all nice. Nice stamp positioning too!

  2. Well done (oops). I adore your well inspired stamps. Your stamps are always so inspiring and Well is one of my favourite patterns. Your tile is nice - don't know how you fit such a dense pattern as MacDee into such as small space. As I said. Well done.

    1. Thanks Kia. I'm really enjoying the stamps; playing with prints this week, rather than carving new ones.
I've done inchies a long time ago and do ATCs pretty regularly, so... I think that has helped doing Bijous :)

    1. Thank you so much, Kate! I gave the card to my SIL last week and it was already dusk, so I'm not sure how much she saw :) She said she loved, it though, and was going to keep it forever :)

    1. Thanks, Diane! I'm still playing with the prints, and each one is coming out so different than the ones before :) Had a lot of fun yesterday, relaxed a bit with the prints, but today... back to reality and getting things ready for our move in less than 2 weeks :). Can't wait!

    1. Thank you so much, Anneke - I've done a few inchies before, and included a lot of detail, so I'm not finding the Bijous as hard as I thought.

  9. okay this is providential. Sometimes things line up to tell me "do this" and making a stamp seems to be one such case. I've been thinking about how one would go about creating a stamp...I assume there is some flat rubbery stuff, and you use carving tools. I have made a stamp from pink eraser, too. Point being, it's been on my mind, and now here you are with Well (one of my favorites, too) and a lovely stamp that you've had so much fun with.
It's time...gonna find out how, and gonna make stamps.
